To obtain a diploma of graduation from a SCUSD high school, students need to complete the following course credits in grades 9 through 12. 

History/Social Science-4 years Required

• 1 semester of Ethnic Studies, 1 semester of Geography, 1 year of Geography, 1 year of World History, 1 year of US History, 1 semester of Government, 1 semester of Economics

English-4 years required

Mathematics-2 years required

• 1 year of Integrated Math I, 1 year of Integrated Math 2

Science-2 years required

• 1 year of Biological/Life and 1 year of Physical

World Language-1 year required

Visual & Performing Arts-1 year required

Electives-65 credits

Physical Education-2 years required

Service Learning or Senior Project
